My artwork takes a critical view of environmental, economic and social issues. It explores the varying relationships between sustainability and fine art through painting, collage and textile composition. By up-cycling materials such as clothing and discarded packaging that would otherwise end up in overpopulated landfills, I create consumer conscious art that considers the ways humans and natural ecosystems interact.Â
While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my methodology is consistent. Although there may not always be material similarities between the different mediums, they are linked by recurring formal concerns and through the subject matter.  My work aims to illuminate climate change through a medium that can move us in a way that statistics cannot, it’s meant to make what many people choose to believe is invisible, visible.
