Andrea Henkels Heidinger
I am a post-consumer artifactist artist. I make art from my own post-consumer waste or “artifacts” and avoid using harmful, toxic art materials in accordance with a manifesto I wrote in 1996, the Manifesto of a Post-consumer Artifactist Artist.
A great deal of my work is made with environmental education in mind and has been shown at transfer stations, state fairs, and as outdoor installations as well as in traditional avenues such as art galleries both nationally and internationally. I look forward to future collaborations with people who embrace similar ideals and I welcome information about environmentally friendly alternatives in art media.
Copies of the Manifesto of a Post-consumer Artifactist Artist are available upon request.
