My recent work is focused upon animal figuration and nature elements. This selection portrays animals that I have observed in life or encountered in dreams. Within the work I seek to reveal a life force that is both dynamic and discreet. Some of the figures appear to be passing through or in the process of receding, while others engage with the viewer. All of the animals hold a mystery, an otherness.
Within the work I wish to convey an intelligence that is ancient, impartial and compassionate. This work reflects upon the impermanence of nature, and what it means to be part of it and part of its destruction.
