Robyn Beth Priestley

Robyn Beth Priestley is a mixed-media block printer, painter and designer who has been working on conservation issues in both her artistic and professional career for her entire life. Her work generally focuses on native animals, plants and habitats, especially those threatened or endangered. Each piece is inspired by an outstanding animal or plant, but also shows the appropriate habitat. The works are illustrative, but also abstracted to some extent, to express the patterns, movement and life in the subjects and the landscape. Her works also express some of the spirituality that she finds in nature. Sustaining the natural world, while encouraging human interaction with nature, is the impetus of her work.
