As a child I was attentive to the rivers, and lakes that surrounded me. I was taught to never be wasteful and to conserve water. Essentially water made me conscious of my surroundings, of what flourished and what died.
Today my work swings from broad interpretations of the structure of water and alien species issues to installations addressing groundwater beneath the earth’s surface.
Using common materials like paper, Mylar and Tyvek in repetitive ways, I hand cut drawings, and fold, tie, and stretch to create dimensional forms in order to transform perception.
