Victoria Chaban studied Fine Arts at Whitman College and spent time blowing glass in the Pacific Northwest. She has a background in fine arts, film making, production, textile design and interior design. In 2017, her focus returned to painting. After spending two years painting birds, the culmination was an exhibit in San Francisco. She was recently a 2023 fellow at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. Her art is in numerous international private collections. The bird pattern series is inspired by our current environmental crisis, the disappearance and essentialness of birds and taking focused time to look at the world around us.
