Develop & expand your skills as a role model who influences others to respect & care for themselves & the world around them.
You are invited to learn & practice strategies to help yourself & others to become more aware of & more connected to self, other beings & our environment.
During this training, we will experience how spending time outdoors & noticing sensation increase both our relaxation & our alert attention.
We’ll make art, indoors & outdoors, to connect to nature as a resource for increased resiliency & wellness.
We’ll learn how being outdoors & making art enhance regulation & integration of neurobiological activity, helping us to feel & function better.
We’ll discuss ways to implement outdoor & nature-based practices with people of diverse ages and backgrounds, & hear & see case examples of eco art therapy.
Please wear comfortable shoes & layers, with sun protection as needed.
Those with impaired mobility are encouraged to attend; please contact Eleanor in advance of the training so that we can collaborate on how to adapt exercises involving movement.
