WEAD Board directors Sharon Siskin and Susan Leibovitz Steinman were invited to curate this exhibit at Gallery Route One in Pt Reyes Station (western Marin County) to coincide with a national nature writers’ conference there in March 2015. This year’s theme is “Women and Land.”
WEAD artists Reenie Charierre and George-Ann Bowers were selected from almost 300 listings for the high quality of their work, plus their art represents the Directory’s diversity in media, technique and strategy. Reenie’s temporal installations and George-Ann’s woven wall sculpture address the beauty, strength and fragility of our natural world.
