WEAD EXHIBITION CALL FOR ARTWORKS

DEADLINE 1/1/2017

Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Or do without: Lessons from our Grandmothers.

The title is a depression era adage taught by wise grandmothers and families in need. Selected art should focus on eco and cultural values of conservation, preservation and frugality. To protect the earth, it is essential we consume less and conserve resources.

The exhibition will feature text and image work curated by highly-respected gallerist Donna Seager. Accepted media will include 2-D wall work, books, altered books and calligraphy.

San Francisco Central Library’s Jewett Gallery is located in San Francisco’s culturally rich Civic Center.

The call is open to all current WEAD members. Non-members are welcome to join WEAD online (www.weadartists.org). New members become immediately eligible. To apply to the call go to: https://www.callforentry.org
