The Hazel Wolf Gallery at the David Brower Center is proud to
announce its first juried show:
hello tomorrow
Bay Area Artists Envision the Future
“Have a good time saving the world. Â Otherwise you’re just
going to depress yourself.” – David Brower.
This exhibition will feature work that responds to the
underlying messages in David Brower’s famous quotation: how do
we remain hopeful when we face serious, systemic challenges to
sustaining nature and creating healthy, thriving communities?
What does it mean to celebrate beauty, whimsy, and joy as we
reshape our world? Â What else does this quotation inspire –
explicitly or tangentially?
Each exhibition at the Brower Center explores the intersection
between art and activism, with an emphasis on inspiring
visitors to engage in environmental and social action.
