You are invited to propose a project for an exhibition with related programs at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center.  The theme of this (as of yet untitled) exhibition is sea level rise in the San Francisco Bay area and beyond.
I am seeking proposals for works of art, scientific experiments, architectural creations, performances, community-based works and interpretive materials.

Dates: June 1 – Sept  2013
Venue:Â Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center. Located parallel to the East Bay entrance to San Mateo Bridge
Sponsoring Organization:Â WEAD, Women’s Environmental Art Directory www.weadartists.org
Artists’ Entry Fee:Â None.
Everyone is invited to join WEAD. Information and instructions at: www.weadartists.org/membership
While we hope most will pay suggested $45 dues or $25, WEAD membership is free for anyone who cannot afford to pay.
Media: All media, 2D, 3D and including time-based (performance) and video will be considered.  There is an indoor gallery, an outdoor deck and the surrounding marshes (the latter by proposal only).
Commissions:Â Artist receives 75% of sales price.
Programming:Â Proposals may also be for a workshop, talk or a joint symposium The HSIC has a lecture room/classroom (465 sq ft) and does extensive publicity.
Installation:Â Artists must make arrangements for installation of their work. WEAD will assist with install.
