Message from the Founding Editor

The WEAD Board and I owe a deep debt of gratitude to Connie Tell and Donna Brookman for their dedication, intellect and tenacity so essential in creating Magazine Issue 14.

Late spring 2023 I had a health emergency that put magazine production on hold. Stepping in as guest editors Connie and Donna took on the time-consuming,  harder-than-it-seems tasks of shaping and producing this issue. They invited and successfully assembled a diverse group of feminist activist artists representative of the highest caliber working today.  Intentionally, they did not choose a “Featured Artist”, noting that each artist is equally acknowledged globally as excellent and equally respected for life-long contributions and innovations in the field.

Connie and Donna:  Thank you for long hours of dedicated work and persistence evidenced in this amazing Issue.  You are appreciated!
